About The Kerschners
Psalm 34:1–3
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!
Joe and Elisa Kerschner have been married since 1986, serving the Lord together for nearly 40 years. From Florida to California, they’ve lived coast to coast. They’ve worn many hats through the years, from serving in the Navy, to starting their own businesses, to serving various roles at church. Their goal in everything they’ve done is to glorify God in doing His service. They currently reside in Texas, which is where most of their 12 children and 21 grandchildren (so far!) also live.
From singing in the car to leading music at church, from sing-alongs at family gatherings, to singing the national anthem at professional ball games, music has always been an integral part of their family.
Over the years the “family band” has grown in skill and number. In the early years, it simply was the young family singing the melody of songs of faith. As the family grew, they were able to add instruments and vocal harmonies.
Today the band consists of Mom and Dad with the younger 6 siblings: Kimberly, Jacob, Holly, Joshua, Bethany, and Jason, while the six older siblings offer support and encouragement from the sidelines as they raise families of their own. All sing and play instruments and lend their unique talents in music production to the group sound.
Through good times and bad, seasons of plenty and times of need, the Lord has been guiding them every step of the way. Looking back through the years, they can see His hand, setting the path before them and preparing them for His service. They are thankful for the people and events the Lord has brought into their life that have helped shape who they are today. They can say with confidence that you’ll never regret trusting God with your life. As a family they hope to encourage His church with the blessings He has given them.
Colossians 3:15-17
“Let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
